Review: Mile High with a Vampire by Lynsay Sands

Five Stars

We’re now 33 books and a few novellas into Lynsay Sands‘ Argeneau series, and I still anticipate each and every release! For good reason too because MILE HIGH WITH A VAMPIRE is another winner! One of the best paranormal romances I’ve read so far this year!

This book is super fast-paced; our hero is a pilot who flies for an incorporation of immortals. His life is pretty dang great… until his plane goes down with a plane-full of vampires who need blood, and he’s the only source. Our heroine is a vampire struggling with her mental health issues surrounding her turning. She’s forced to step up to the plate as she goes on the run with Jet in the wilderness to get them both to safety.

High-octane with hilarious and deeply poignant moments, I couldn’t put this book down! I didn’t think I was going to like our heroine Quinn, but by the end I was in awe of her strength and ability to deal with her problems. And Jet? Our hero? Oh man, y’all are going to LOVE Jet. He epitomizes supportive, hot alpha. Oh, and did I mention there is a little dash of hero pining? The best!

Overall, this is another excellent addition to the series! I want to go back and reread immediately! Sands’ long-running vampire series strikes the perfect balance for humor, sexiness, and suspense/dark elements. As a bonus? These books stand alone really well. If you want a little background, pick up THE TROUBLE WITH VAMPIRES – it follows Quinn’s twin and is super good too!
