Review: Munro by Kresley Cole

Five Stars

MUNRO might have been a long-awaited addition to the Immortals After Dark series, but Kresley Cole is back and better than ever! If you have any doubts that she is in an elite echelon of paranormal romance authors, MUNRO is here to remind you. This book starts out with an adrenaline-and-magic-fueled nightmare scene for any Lykae and just gets better and more high-octane from there.

I won’t dive too deep into the plot because, first of all, if you’re reading this and don’t know what has been going on with Munro, go back and read his twin’s book MACRIEVE, or even better, read the whole darn series! If you are aware that Munro has been trapped by an evil sorcerer and is fated to mate “a harridan,” that’s really all you need to know before you dive in. Just brace yourself for steamy romance, heart-pounding action, and so many revelations in the last 10% of the book I nearly screamed (multiple times!).

I think we all knew Munro would be dreamy – and he is – protective, probably “hotter” in the hot v hotter debate, and so devoted. But Kerney is the real star of this book. She is strong, fierce, and proves that humanity does not automatically make a person “less than.” She takes her big sexy wolf and turns him in knots, which is SO. FUN. to read. Their romance was an uphill battle from the first page, which you can always expect with a Cole romance, but I didn’t expect SO many twists. It’s such a fun ride.

If you haven’t read IAD yet, I am jealous because you get to experience these books for the first time! If you’re a long-time fan like I am? Get EXCITED. IAD is back, and things are just heating up with the Accession…
