Review: In Her Sights by Katie Ruggle

4.5 Stars

I am an unapologetic Katie Ruggle superfan. Her action, humor, and heart laced books always leave me with the biggest smile on my face. IN HER SIGHTS is no exception! It combines everything you love about a Katie Ruggle novel with masterful world building for a brand new series. I am in awe.

IN HER SIGHTS follows Molly, the eldest of five bounty hunting sisters with a criminal mother, and John Carmondy (I feel the need to type his whole name because Molly uses his last name more than his first), a rival bounty hunter and one of my new favorite heroes.

Katie Ruggle knows how to write an excellent hero and John Carmondy is keeps that standard high. I am more than a little in love with him after reading this book, it’s no wonder Molly couldn’t resist him. I am such a sucker for a hero who is hopelessly devoted the heroine, and this whole book was basically John waiting for Molly to notice him in a real way. It’s super cute and you’re rooting for them the entire time. The witty banter and sexual tension in this book are top notch.

As with all Katie Ruggle novels, I wish there was more emphasis on the romance. By that I mean, I just wanted the book to be longer! I think the plot is perfectly paced, but I am always left wanting more of the central couple.

Overall, I thought this was an excellent first book in a series, and I can’t wait to see where the overarching mystery goes as well as watch all these sisters find their perfect partner. I want more!!
