Review: Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey

Five Stars

I can always count on Tessa Bailey to deliver heart, humor, and heat in her books and LOVE HER OR LOSE HER was no exception. Romance novels with a married hero and heroine have become more prevalent in recent years. I’m here for authors stretching their creative muscles and writing about love in all its many forms.

Rosie and Dominic are middle school sweethearts who have slowly reached relationship stagnation after ten years of marriage. They both decide to give their relationship one last shot through marriage counseling. While their counselor was wacky and made me laugh more than once, the problems and roadblocks in their relationship felt real and personal. I think it helps that I buy into the love language concept, and I really enjoyed Ms. Bailey tying it in.

Another huge positive of the book is its pacing. While slightly predictable, I enjoyed the ups and downs Rosie and Dominic experienced while trying to communicate after years of just existing together. I was rooting for them the whole book. The little slice of life moments and their robust friend group also added to the entire reading experience.

As I mentioned, you can’t read a Tessa Bailey novel without discussing the superb sexy times. The sexual tension between Rosie and Dominic nearly singed my eyebrows off. But under all the chemistry was true love between two people who have taken that love for granted.

Overall, I had high hopes for this novel. I read it in a single day and enjoyed every minute of my reading time. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series! Bring on the enemies to lovers.
